H1N1 Vaccine Recall

McHenry County

McHenry County has a public health emergency surveillance and response system in place to share information on the novel H1N1 flu situation with the local community such as police, fire, elected officials, schools, health care providers and residents. The public is a key partner in this response.

Good hygiene can prevent transmission of illnesses – washing your hands, covering your cough and staying home when you’re sick to avoid infecting others. See your doctor if you have a cough, fever (greater than 100 degrees), sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.  Vomiting and diarrhea have also been reported in many cases.

A partnership has been developed between Centegra Health System, Mercy Health System, Advocate Good Shepherd and the McHenry County Department of Health to provide H1N1 vaccinations and education once the vaccine arrives.
