ZBA MEETING INFORMATION
The McHenry County Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) consists of seven regular members and two alternate members appointed by the County Board. Alternate members serve in the absence of regular members. Each regular ZBA member must reside in a different congressional township within the County. All meetings of the Zoning Board of Appeals are called by the Chairman (or in his/her absence, the Vice-Chairman or Chairman Pro-Tem) and at such times as the ZBA may determine. In general, the ZBA meets weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 P.M. The ZBA also holds a regular voting meeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Voting meetings commence at 9:30 A.M. All meetings are typically held in the McHenry County Government Center. Meetings of the Zoning Board of Appeals are held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act. All documents filed with the ZBA are available for public inspection and copying in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. MCHO MEETING INFORMATION
The McHenry County Hearing Officer (MCHO) is comprised of a single individual appointed by the County Board Chairman. The MCHO meets once a month in the County Administration Building (View the calendar for upcoming dates and times). Meetings of the MCHO are held in accordance with the Open Meetings Act. All documents filed with the MCHO are available for public inspection and copying in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
