Qualifications
Must Haves:

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid FOID Card
• Certified Police Officer (past or present)

Preferred:

• Boating Experience

Able To Pass:

• Background Check
• Medical Physical
• Basic Swim Test

Hired Deputies:

• Will Patrol the Fox River / Pistakee Bay Area
• Enforce Safety activities with an emphasis on Operating Under the Influence (OUI)
• Work flexible schedules (including weekends)
• 8 hour shifts
• Receive classroom training
• Range and Boat Safety training starting in March
• Receive  uniforms provided by the Sheriff’s Office (except footwear)
