Our panel of speakers offers a variety of presentations on legal topics relevant to your civic, business or academic organizations!

 

The McHenry County State's Attorney's Office is proud to introduce its Speaker's Bureau. Would your group benefit from information about the law? The McHenry County State's Attorneys Speakers Bureau will provide your organization with a volunteer speaker at no cost. Our speakers will:

 

  • Come to your public library, school or other convenient meeting place;
  • Give your group a general presentation on a legal topic of your choice;
  • Answer questions of a general nature.

 

Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Domestic Violence
  • DUI
  • Gang Related Activity
  • Child Support Enforcement
  • Freedom of Information Act
  • Identity Theft
  • Involuntary Mental Health Admissions

How do I arrange for a speaker for our event?

Contact the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office at 815-334-4159 and ask for the Program Coordinator for the Speakers Bureau or visit our website and click on the link for the Speakers Bureau.

What is the cost for the speaker to attend our event? 

 A

The service is provided at no cost to your group or organization. The McHenry County State's Attorney's Office provides this service because we are committed to educating the community regarding citzen's rights and responsibilities under the law.

How much notice is required in order to arrange for a speaker for our organization?

 

 A

 

To ensure that we have a speaker available for your topic of choice, it is suggested that you arrange for a speaker 30 days in advance.

  • Group or organization name
  • Telephone number
  • Best time of day to be contacted
