Groundwater Protection Action Plan

 "Model" Policies

Background Information:  The "Model Policies" contained below were created by the Groundwater Protection Action Plan Task Force.  This task force was composed of municipal representatives, township representatives, residents, county staff, local businesses, and environmental groups.  These policies are not intended to be a one-size-fits-all, but rather, a compilation of the best available information for consistent groundwater protection.  It is the intention of the Task Force that all local governments, as well as the County Board, will consider each individual policy and modify these policies to address their individual needs as applicable.
