Who is it designed for?
Professional Land Records users.  If your firm needs frequent access to the land records in the McHenry County Recorder’s Office, you may wish to obtain online access.

How much does it cost?
For your convenience the cost of this service is only $275.00 quarterly, paid in advance, per license issued. Make checks payable to McHenry County Recorder. Cost to print a copy of a document at your site is $1.50 for the first page of each document and $.50 for each additional page.

What information is available on line?
The index of real estate documents and document images recorded from 1839 through the current effective search date. The McHenry County Recorder's Office has 177 years of documents indexed and imaged on computer.

What technical requirements are there?
You are required to have MS Windows 2000 or better. You must have MS Internet Explorer version 4.0 or better, and turn on the "active X" feature of that program. You will need to be connected to the Internet. A fast processor, modem and large, high-resolution screen are recommended.

What do I need to do to get my firm online?
You will need to print and sign two agreements[PDF], one for the County Recorder's Office and the other for the software vendor. Please mail both original signed agreements along with your check for $275.00 to McHenry County Recorder, 2200 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock, IL 60098. Upon receipt we will contact you to provide a username and obtain your password
