Welcome to our website!

Department of HealthMcHenry County residents are touched every day by our services. Every time we eat in a restaurant, register our pets, build a well or septic system, need help for health care, or get our children vaccinated for school, the Health Department is involved to make us safer and healthier.

In addition to Environmental Health permits and inspections, Animal Control and Vital Records, we offer a variety of clinic services to the public.
  • Hearing and vision screening for children
  • STD/HIV testing and counseling
  • Immunizations
  • TB control
  • Chronic and Communicable disease control
  • Flu shot clinics
