McHelp Logo 2016MCHELP: Teens can confidentially and anonymously reach out to professional crisis counselors via text messaging 24-hours a day/7 days a week and receive an immediate reply if they or a friend is struggling with: bullying; alcohol & drug use; depression; relationship conflicts; exams/finals; anxiety or if they just need to talk.  The app is available for download on iTunes and Google Play.  This free service is provided by The McHenry County Community Foundation, Centegra Health System and McHenry County Crisis Line.

 

McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition: The McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition meets in an effort to address identified substance abuse issues in McHenry County.  Members represent law enforcement, healthcare professionals, schools, business community, parents, youth, media, religious organizations, volunteer groups, government, those in treatment and recovery, and those organizations that serve people in treatment and recovery.  Everybody is welcome! Care Trak: The McHenry County Care Trak provides peace of mind when an individual has a loved one who might wander from home, by providing a mechanism for local law enforcement to successfully search for an individual and bring them home safely. For more information, please check out the links below. You can also contact the Care Trak Coordinator by calling the Mental Health Board at 815-455-2828. Completed applications can be faxed to 815-455-2925 or mailed to the Mental Health Board.

2-1-1: United Way 2-1-1 is for times of non-emergency crisis as well as for everyday needs. The 2-1-1 call specialists are available to help individuals locate health and human service assistance, on everything from mortgage assistance, EITC tax help and food and shelter, to job counseling services and health resources. United Way 2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people with important community services.

IL Warm Line
:  Phone support for persons with mental health concerns and their families.  Operated by professional Peer Support Specialists who have experienced mental health recovery in their own lives.  Specialists are trained in emotional support, recovery education and self-advocacy support; ready to listen and help.  We provide referrals and information on community supports.  Warm Line is not a crisis hotline, but is a source of support as you recover or help a family member or loved one to recover.
