Where Does Our Water Come From?
Everyone in the county is invited to attend the McHenry County Water Forum to learn where our water comes from. The Forum is being provided so residents, businesses, municipal staff and elected officials can learn what makes our local water supplies unique and what we can do to ensure that clean and sustainable water resources are available into the future.
Open the Agenda to the Right for more details about the event.
The keynote speaker is Mary Ann Dickinson, CEO of the Alliance for Water Efficiency and a nationally recognized leader who helps municipalities, businesses and individuals maintain safe, affordable water resources across the country. The Forum will also feature presentations by scientists from the Illinois State Geological Survey and the U.S. Geological Survey, which map and monitor the county’s groundwater.
